Clear privacy rules for a study-first platform.

What we collect

CitizenshipPrep.ca is designed to collect only what is needed to run a verified study account and simulator experience.

• Account basics: email address, salted password hash, optional first and last name, optional target test date, and optional profile picture.
• Study progress: simulator and Practice Mode results, selected answers, Mistake Bank entries, topic performance, review history, and question reports.
• Environment-readiness summaries: warning categories, counts, durations, and event times for supported checks such as camera availability, lighting, face position, tab switching, full-screen exits, looking away, or inactivity.
• Contact messages: name, email address, topic, message, and submission time when you use the Contact Us form.
• Product and security events: privacy-safe usage events, important admin actions, email delivery status, service errors, and account-security events used to operate and protect the platform.
• Local browser data: session information, active and completed attempts, Discover Canada bookmarks and reading position, application number or UCI values you choose to remember for format practice, and an opaque payment-transaction marker used to prevent duplicate advertising conversion reports.

What we do not ask for

Do not enter sensitive government or identity documents into this platform.

• An application number and UCI may be entered for optional format practice. They are checked locally in your browser, are not sent to our server, and are not verified with government systems.
• No passport number, PR card number, or other government ID detail is required.
• Citizenship Prep does not store payment card numbers, CVVs, card expiry details, or banking information. When Premium pricing is enabled, payment details are entered on Stripe's hosted Checkout page.
• No webcam images, camera frames, video recordings, ID images, face embeddings, or biometric identifiers are stored.
• No real IRCC test answers are requested or claimed.

How we use information

Information is used to provide simulator and Practice Mode experiences, save progress after email verification, maintain the Mistake Bank, show answer explanations, identify weak topics, respond to contact messages, protect accounts, and improve the platform.

Passwords are stored as salted hashes. The app does not store plaintext passwords.

Google Ads conversion measurement

When Google Ads conversion measurement is enabled, a confirmed Premium purchase may send Google a cookieless conversion signal containing the purchase value, currency, and an opaque Stripe payment transaction reference. The transaction reference does not contain your name or email address and is used to prevent the same purchase from being counted more than once.

Citizenship Prep configures advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and analytics storage as denied. This integration does not send your name, email address, payment-card details, banking information, or other enhanced-conversion customer data to Google. Google may still receive ordinary technical request information needed to process the cookieless measurement signal. Google handles information under its Privacy Policy.

Advertising measurement does not determine whether your payment succeeds or whether Premium access is granted. Tracking is disabled outside the production website, and a tracking failure does not affect your account or purchase.

Email delivery

We use a transactional email provider to deliver verification, welcome, password-reset, password-change, account-security, and service messages. Password-reset links expire after 10 minutes. Delivery status and error information may be logged to operate and troubleshoot the service.

Your choices

You can update your profile through your account, clear locally remembered information through your browser settings, or request account assistance or removal through the Contact Us page.
